The Clayton Township Police Department is located in rural Genesee County, six miles West of Flint, is 34.5 square miles and serves a population of 7800 residents. It encompasses main thoroughfares including I-69, M-21, M-13 and the business district is the City of Swartz Creek . The Police Department is comprised of six full-time and six part-time police officer positions, supplemented by a clerical position and six reserves. Dispatch and lock-up facilities are provided by the County of Genesee.
